Ive heard of Swift, but...never really looked into them. I'll have to see what I can come up with...
Yea you aren't kidding. At first I was using lacquer thinner on a rag, and just buffing them out by hand. That got old REAL quick...plus the paint was pretty thick in some areas where it would have literally taken HOURS just to do a small section. I remembered when I was detailing back in the day, that a guy would spray oven cleaner on the ENTIRE side of a car, and go to lunch. Then come back, and just wipe away any painted on lettering, as well as decals. So I thought I'd give it a try. It IS quite abrasive...so wet sanding afterwards is a MUST.
Congrats on the de-striping. it looks so much better. It seems there are still lines on the hood and front bumper,, or are those other coincidental marks? I definitely need to remember the over cleaner trick.

So, I think I've decided to keep updating this thread... It's literally the ONLY forum I'm still on... Ok, I lied. It's the only one that I keep feeling the need to come back to, even though it's legit dead as Muhammad Ali... Sorry, too soon...?
Anyway, @XpL0d3r says I should stay and be more active here, so...here I am.
So...I've done SOME work to Hitomi... First thing, I put an HFP lip on it. And had it painted. Which looks cool...oh. I also plastidipped my OEM wheels white. I think they look pretty good, with the Fiji blue.
Then, because I got a "small" bonus at work, I decided to pull the trigger on a touch screen DVD head unit. I also got the Metra adapter to keep my steering wheel controls working. Now I can watch porn with the girlfriend while driving around town. It's fun to turn the volume all the way up during the summer and see/hear peoples reactions.
Then, I found this uber cool Takeda hot air intake. Vtec is stupid loud now. I'm in the process of making (or if I get fed up enough with it...buying...) a battery relocation tray so I can reroute the piping to sit behind the headlight because all these manufacturers decided it was a good idea to put the air filter 3" from the exhaust manifold. I low how the car is even slower than with the factory air box now...
Oh, and I almost forgot... Me and @XpL0d3r went to Watkins Glen. I learned a few things there... 1)I really NEED to start tracking my car...its fun as hell. 2) People who think they know how to hit lines around a track, really have no f**king clue how to drive nor the ideas as to why you need to hit the apex of a corner...right @XpL0d3r ? Haha. 3) The FR-S/BR-Zs are slow... Like...crazy slow.
So, that's it for now. I promise I'll be more active on here. Between school/classes, work, and the family, sometimes I forget about this place. It's actually kind of sad because I spent SO much time here in the past... I almost miss this place... Almost...
