93 EJ1 Stalling issue.

So I just picked this EJ1 and I happened to stall out the other day due to driver error, not on it's own. The car would not start after I stalled it.. I'd turn the key and nothing.. no cranking or anything and the stereo and dash lights go off when trying to turn it back on. I let it sit for about a min or two and then it starts right back up without a issue. I tried it again on purpose in my driveway to see if it'd do it again and sure enough it happens exactly the same. I have been looking through for someone with a similar issue but couldn't find a narrowed down answer. Any ideas to what it could be would be greatly appreciated.

check your starter and positive battery cables and also check your battery.

Well, just to eliminate the simple things first: I have seen it where people are flustered or nervous after stalling and do not depress the clutch all the way and it will not start. Could this be the issue? Are your floormats thick? Inspect the clutch safety switch. Second thing would be something i have never seen in a car but lots of equipment has it where you have to turn the key all the way off before trying to restart after a stall. Try that. Perhaps someone wired something funny or used a different ignition switch. Is it a honda key?

I'm amazed no one has suggested the Main Relay? Those tend to be behind lots of "engine won't crank" issues. They are fairly cheap and easy to replace.

Well update as far as whats going on.. the car has remote start and starts right away with the remote but not turn key. I thought it might be that little rubber gromet when you press the clutch but its still there. Any ideas with this information?

Check that switch to see if anything is loose, push the clutch down by hand and see if it actually hits it, if it got bent or moved it may be off to the side. Then take a continuity tester and check to see if the switch is working properly.

yea sounds like you have a problem with the neutral safety switch. i would also agree with dancam and check switch on the clutch pedal its located further up, you'll see it better when you look up at the bottom of the dash

Well the thing is if the switch is the one higher up on the pedal it is being pressed when the clutch is engaged. You think it could be something to do with the remote start? Maybe some touching wires or micky mouse wiring from the previous owner? Like I actually just got out of work amd started the car turn key and started up fine. The main issue is when I stall it out it wont turn on turning the key

yes that the switch. the remote start is installed in manual cars bypassing it. which is why your able to still start your car with with your remote, other wise it won't work at all since you would have to be in the car the to press the clutch pedal to get it started it.
