Apologies now I want to try to explain all I can so hopefully no one has any questions about the situation. I honestly do not know much about cars besides checking/changing oil and tires. I do know the oil dissapearing and shaking may not be related I am just trying to find out what should I be looking for or testing.
I will have owned my car Stella(yes I named her don't judge) Honda Civic LX 1999 for 4 years in August and is almost to 185000 miles on it. When I bought it was somewhere between 130000 to 140000. This is my first car and I love it and would like to keep it around as long as I can. My car has always been an oil eater but is even worse now. I checked my oil which was between 3/4 to 1/2 full so I left it alone and my husband decided to check it about 100 to 150 mile later and it was down to 1/4 if that...I even know I shouldn't loose oil that fast we do not see the leak and no oil puddling under my car but oil is now all over my engine. Besides the oil issue there is the shaking. My car has only done shaking like this twice before when the O2 sensor went out(the one easy to get to I believe connected to manifold?) once was a few months after I bought the car and second time was back this past December 2015. The shaking seems rougher this time but that could be my imagination there is a crack in the manifold where the sensor sits but it has not gotten any bigger and has been there as long as I have owned the car(although I am sure O2 sensor over works its self due to the crack and that why I have had to replace it twice in less than 4 years but Idk how long they last anyways) I also feel like it is not the sensor because my check engine light has not come on this time like it has in the past. I think the shaking and oil might be related because I didn't start losing oil like this that I noticed anyways until shaking began. I should also add my car shakes during idle, reverse, drive it does not matter although does seem too shake less when I am driving than at idle.
Any info is appreciated thank you if you have any questions please ask.
