Distributor squeaking

Was driving home tonight and soon as I pull in to park started hearing a squeaking sound that I immediately attributed to a belt.

Pop the hood and the noise was evidently coming from the distributor

I know the bearings can go bad, but I'm wondering how long do I have before needing to replace? Or is it an issue that needs addressing asap?

This distributor has already been replaced I believe in 2010/2011 by an autozone part.

It being an Autozone part may be why its going bad. I've never heard an OEM Honda distributor squeaking so I dont know what to tell you except to inspect the dizzy when you can. Some of those parts may have lifetime warranty so look into that as well. I personally replaced my dizzy with a leaking seal about 4 years ago with an OEM JDM one with low miles and have had no issues.

Where'd you get it from?

Oh, an eBay store that sells JDM sourced parts.

No, but you can try searching "jdm civic distributor used" and narrow it down.

Are you sure it's the distributor and not the alternator?

Are you having issues with your battery or related electrical problems?

You can hear it right at the distributor

Have you bothered to open up the cap and inspect the rotor and internals?

Anything that looks out of place such as a loose rotor screw, a loose component, metal shavings, etc. Dont blindly change parts when you dont even find a clear source.
