Has anybody used one or know of a person using an immobilizer delete while doing the k swap. I have a 99 ek sedan with k20a3, oem k20a3 ecu , I am wondering if its worht the time or just fork over the 1K on kpro. This is NOT a race car. its a reliable, completely stock motor. Eventually I will have k-pro installed when I am able to finish my k24 build but for now id like to have my car daily driveable with my k20a3(already installed in my car).

Including this link to the "immobilizer delete" for reference in what im asking about.

The car will drive but it won't run all that great. Since you're in a swap chassis for a K, I would assume you at least have an aftermarket header to make the swap work. That's enough to kick your fuel efficiency in the butt with a K. If you have the ability to get kpro, I'd wait and get it. It's beyond worth it. If not, running the delete isn't the end of the world but the car won't run too well but it'll work for the time being.

I did my K24 swap using that kit and it works fine; my car never has a problem, and it runs good as hell. I recommend that immo delete kit.

Somehow a K24 utilizing a K20 ecu untuned and with no ability to use a basemap "runs good as hell"? Sure....

At least the OP will be better off since the ecu and engine actually match, but the use of necessary aftermarket parts being on the car and untuned isn't very good. If you've had your setup tuned before, you'd know just how drastic the difference is and I'd doubt you'd call an untuned oem calibration very good when the engine is modded.
