nos, turbo. supercharger, overreving and high revving, low oil level
all these and more add stress to an engine reducing its life expectancy

but no2 used/tuned properly is the best bang for the buck performance mod avaliable..... please triple read the bold words

for my opinion, use NOS with some more components, such as forged pistons, and s**t.. I think, it'll last longer=).. um and it'll make ya have an empty pocket:(

Nitrous is just as safe as anything else iIf the system is tuned right. You don't need a forged bottem end to use nitrous. Our shop Crx has the stock bottem end and is spraying a 120 shot of direct port nitrous.

I wanna get a nos set up but have a older engine should I work on my internals first or go ahead with the setup. I have a high mileage d15b2 that I'm trying to do as lil as possible cuz I'm saving for parts for another car. This is my daily driver, but some extra push will come in handy on those days I'm running late or wanna have some fun

yeah nos will f**k up your engine. id either turbo what you have or do a swap you need a strong engine to run nos. Everyone i ever known that used nos only used an engine one summer but they were all idiots and used the s**t to show off.

Run a low shot on a WOT activation and you would be fine. if you put a 200 shot on a stock motor your asking for trouble. I used to run nitrous on my Marauder, i ran a 100 shot which is safe. A 150 shot was considered the max for the 4.6 dohc that car had. Hundreds of passes and no engine damage with 100 shot. Also the higher octane the better.

Boost will f**k up an engine just as much, if not more depending on the amount of boost and size of turbo, as nitrous will if the engine is not properly maintained. Use it the right way and you wont have a problem with it.

Anything put on a motor, let it be a turbo/supercharger/internal work/Nawwzz can and will destroy a motor. its all about tuning and proper use.

Nitrous is cheap and plenty safe if u do it right. 2 stage colder plugs, retard timing a bit, proper spark plug gap, use premium fuel, use a wet nitrous kit, etc. I just blew my stock d16z6 but that was on a 150 shot. A 50 -70 shot is safe.

Never had one problem when I sprayed my car the few times I did. Just be smart with it, and you will have no problems.
