I think that's normal. When the car stalls, you lose oil pressure, therefore triggering the light. I haven't stalled in a while so I honestly never noticed. I also don't own an 8th gen (or a Civic for that matter). Unless the light comes on with the engine running, I wouldn't worry about it...

Yes it's worth it, but as long as you don't get a cheapo turbo kit. Look into Go-Autoworks turbo kits, and most importantly, get a good tune. Your car's engine seems healthy enough, but make sure to do proper maintenance as well. Timing belt / water pump, new clutch to handle the extra power...

Have you removed the plastic and tried to look for the plug? I bet it's there, just hard to see with all the plastic parts in the way. I remember when my adapter came loose, I unplugged it to see how to tighten it, and the plug slipped down.. had to remove all the plastic panels just to get to it
