So the 99 Si is actually faster than the 00 Si, according to that site?

There is no way that they can get all those times accurate to the tenth of a second. Different drivers, different conditions. I think that they are all estimated by taking in account the weight, hp, torque and all that.
Most of the times are averaged, and a lot come from car magazines...so yes they are accurate, besides the numbers are only what expect...its not like the same divers going to run the same time every time...but your right it is the diver. I.E. I raced my friends 91 accord (stock 5sp), against my 86 crx si (stock 5spd) and lost 4 out of the 5 times (his a way better driver than me), and the stats say I should beat him.

Car-Stats.com Report for 2000 Honda Civic SI
Obtained from Web January, 2001
0-60: 7.9 Transmission: Manual
1/4 Mile: 15.9
1/4 Speed: 88

stats Motor Trend Eclipse GT Spyder:
0-60: 6.9
1/4 15.2 @93 mph

Note: Hardtop Eclipse would be faster than the Spyder
Do you not understand taht the stats are wrong, how come daniel the mod ran a 15.6 bone stock he must be lieing huh

It is all about the driver there is not set 1/4 mile for any car.

he said they are acurate to some sense, but they are only what is expected... which, i think, means by what the car should run based on hp, torque, weight... obviously they are wrong, but take two or the same cars and run them both, you won't get the same exact time, i guarentee it.

i wouldn't use that as a strict guideline, maybe just as a guide and get a general idea... nothing more..

There is a variance between not only drivers but different cars off the same assembly line.

I didn't decide on the Eclipse GT as much as my wife did, after all it was my Prelude (3rd gen B21A1) that we were trading. I wanted another Prelude. I wasn't sold till I raced a co-worker's 99 Si coupe that had beaten my EX. I pulled on him in every gear. By around a quater mile I had at least a second on him and more than a couple of car lengths.

You beat a 99 si by over a second even though they are both 15 sec cars?

I didn't actually time it but it looked as if I had a second on him...he was back there a bit. What? I have nearly double the displacement.

I remember the week after I got my car I raced an Eclipse GT. The guy had a magnaflow cat-back with a CAI, it was automatic though :(

He pulled on me off the line but I caught up to him and passed him in 3rd gear though. But I had gotten a terrible launch because I was just beginning to drive back then lol. I can't imagine now with my mods though 8) How much did you get beat by?

Plain Vanilla white, 2001 Eclipse GT. Leather interior and Infinity stereo, no sunroof :( , no spoiler...If it wasn't for the 24v V6 badges on the fender you would think it a regular 2.4 l.

Just guessing, I would say two and a half or so car lengths I could see the whole front of his Si in my rearview mirror.
