10.5:1 boosted

Alright, I've got ESP Eagle rods and JE 10.5:1 pistons. I know a good rule of thumb would be to use 9:1 CP. But, I already got these pistons laying around. Can I boost this safely for a whp goal of 400 on a DD? I'm not doing the double or thick head gasket thing. I was gonna get a 60-1 turbo to help keep my IAT down, correct my if I'm wrong on this. thanks

10.5 sucks its not very high for the all motor guys, and its not very low for the boosted guys. any chance u could sell them and pick up a set of 9:1?

wow.... guys it really isnt that bad... yes 9:1 is ideal or even 9:5.1 but 10:5.1 isnt too bad.... i know several people including myself that could tune it.... Im not sure 400 whp is acheivable because I dont know the motor... nor did he mention anything about sleeves (stock or not)...

if you could tune it that well, my guess would be that you are aware of 400whp being achievable with stock sleeves....

If you had much lower whp goals you would have a higher chance of being safe with that c/r

if people turbo a type r motor, thats what ? 11.1 ratio stock ? i dunno i forgot but i wouldnt go past 300whp daily driven for you goal man...

My tuner has a 11.5 cr gsr hatch that is supercharged at 9 lb's. It has 11 pounds taken off of the crank and everything that can be lightened is lightened. Scary loud and revs just like a 750 cc bike. the only problem is err....cough....race ...gas...cough. But a 10.5 ratio motor won't be too hard to do and you still will need a really good tune. You won't push as much boost but you will make it up with the compression ration making more power.
