My tuner has a 11.5 cr gsr hatch that is supercharged at 9 lb's. It has 11 pounds taken off of the crank and everything that can be lightened is lightened. Scary loud and revs just like a 750 cc bike. the only problem is err....cough....race ...gas...cough. But a 10.5 ratio motor won't be too hard to do and you still will need a really good tune. You won't push as much boost but you will make it up with the compression ration making more power.
yeah but his motor is probably built right? personally, thatd make me feel a little better.....but yeah you are right about less boost and still getting more power bc of the compression.

WoW, hmm...:stick: , Is it possible, practical for 10.5:1 CP for 400whp DD. Or mill the pistons down to 9:1 CP and/or buy 9:1 pistons. And yes, stock sleeves.

superchargers love higher compression so that dont matter its more common to see a type r s/c then turbo'd anyday of the week.. but 400 whp... no i say u'd blow it even with a good tune 1- 2 months

what are you talking about? forced induction is the same whether its turbo or SC, high compression does not mix. and no, SC is not more reliable in any way, shape, or form than turbo is...

No, sc aren't anymore reliable. The issue is detonation, mainly caused from the iat being too hot. Unless you do alcohol/water injection or run really rich.

the tune is more important than the rest as long as its all hooked up correctly. after that its just luck wether or not the motor lasts

Is 10.2:1 to high to boost to get 270whp safely and it being easy to tune if there are no dynos near you. Not trying to thread jack.

im using 10:1 and should get between 350-400whp. and it'll be street tuned. and i'll drive the thing 200 miles a week.

EDIT: it wont be daily driven, i just plan to put some mileage on it on the weekends.
