Just to give you an idea, my shop charges $65 an hour for manual machine work. Something like that adapter should take no more than an hour. Since the time is so little your lookin at a flat shop rate just to do the job, shop rates vary. Lets say you find a shop with a $100 flat rate and a rate of $60 an hour. Your adapter will wind up costing around $175 with the material charge in there too. Welding works the same way. Off the top of my head I dont know my shops welding rate, but a good rate would be like $75 an hour. For a down pipe lets say itll take em an hour and half (inluding set up, cutting, and welding). If you have the same shop make this as your adapter then your gunna get that same flat rate. Now your down pipe is gunna be around $250 with material. Heres the beauty of the deal tho, have it all done at once and you only pay the flat rate once. So, instead of paying $425, your lookin at $325 for both. Thats far better than a K20 swap, but on the other hand a K20 swap will have way more potential.
