Can anyone tell me for sure if there is more than just the one ELD that's in fuse box under the hood... This garage is telling my 65 yr old mother there are two in the same fuse box, and gave her a quote to replace the "second one" even though I just replaced the only one I can find any info on..
Code was p1298. I replaced the brown box inside the fuse panel under the hood.. Took 2 minutes.. Is there another one ANYWHERE in this car??
They told her it needed to be replaced - she then said her son just did it a few days ago... I'm assuming the car stored the code even though it was replaced.. I'm assuming in an effort to not seem like they were lying after my mother said it was just changed, they came up with " oh there's 2 of them". I told her to call and ask where - guy said it's in the same box.. Is he lying?
