Actually not to bring back an old subject, but there is a story behind this Z. It was a 375 progressive shot that they had run through that particular VQ35 several times beforehand. It was spraying around 150 off the line with a 1.2-1.4 60'. They rest of the shot was staged through the rest of the run. On this run all 375 went though at once and what you see are the afteraffects of a 375 shot all at once on stock internals. The VQ35 actually does very well on nitrous within reason such as a 125-150 shot..
As for them not really giving a crap and thinking it was funny, it was no big deal to them as they are a performance shop called Performance Motorsports out of New York. It was no ones personal car so they didnt relly care and had the means to fix or replace easily.
They currently have a Twin Turbo'd non nitrous Z running an 8.3@176 which is pushing over 1000hp from the original VQ35. They also have another Z with an RB26DETT (skyline engine) swap running very low 7's and should be in the 6's very soon.
