There's a difference between wearing a patriotic shirt to be patriotic and wearing a patriotic shirt to rub it in someone elses face and piss them off deliberately. That's all I'm saying.
and you authorize the thought police to guess your intention? no thanks.. ill wear whatever i want especially if its in support of the nation i live in..

who gives a f**k what the intention was behind it.. who cares if the shirt says f**king white pride on it.. how many times have you seen someone wear something with a mexican flag.. puerto rican flag... etc..on it.. its not that unusual.. and the best part about all this.. is one of the "white kids starting trouble" is HALF MEXICAN.. so for all you RACIST assuming its JUST some white kids.. LAME..
That's the think OC, all this bs falls down on intention. It doesn't matter if the kids are white, mexican/american, is the intention to provoke. I mean common, they had intention since the five of them bought those tees. What a coinsidence for these 5 kids to wear them on that day, don't you think?

if you censor everything that someone may find offensive you lose freedom... forget the music you like.. the movies you watch... expression is not always agreed with.. but that does not mean it should be tucked away and hidden.. patriotism is a touchy subject at the moment.. and if those students wanted to make some statement showing they support the US, even if on a Mexican holiday:roll:.. then these is NOTHING anyone should find wrong with that... I do not believe the Constitution limits my freedoms to non-Mexican holidays..

Imagine if we issued a court injunction against a church for having "mass" on a day that conflicts with another church's holiday.. citing the fact that it is a holy day for them and they are offended that you are having mass on a day that is sacred to them.. could you imagine the f**king outrage..

Yes, these kids have the freedom to wear whatever they want on any given day. All I said is the intention they had. They were trying to provoke something.

If all of a sudden they felt patriotic on that day (doubt it) it's cool to show it. If this was a way to express, to make a statement of all the s**t that is happening right know, hey, good for them. Again, that's the freedom we have.

to me, I wouldn't have cared. I would've had carried on with my day...................

boo frickin hoo. if mexicants get mad for american kids wearing american articles of clothing then pack your bags and go back to mexico. this country was founded on patriotism and not caring what others thought of us. now the u.s. is so politically correct that kids like that get in trouble for being patriots...boo-hoo. piss-off...get lost.

am I missing something? Im pretty sure Cinco De Mayo is a Mexican Holiday and NOT an American holiday.
If I wore an American flag on Canadian Independence day would the Canadians "feel intimidated?" You have a right to celebrate your culture, But I have a right to celebrate my Country...That you live in!

cinco de mayo is more of an american holiday than a mexican one. :what: just seems like it's more celebrated here rather than there.

but with this, it seems like these 5 stupid kids wore those shirts out of spite instead of pride. that is not right imo... they're just starting s**t and the principal took notice. The mexicans are even more stupid for walking out, they should have just ignored it. It's California tho and that whole state is s**t if you ask me. The school admin should have suspended the wetbacks too tho. Education is more imortant than proving a pointless point.

but thanks for posting this because I'm going to make sure I wear a shirt with an american flag next year cinco de mayo! I'm f**king serious too!

It's f**king AMERICA. Doesn't matter what day it is, they're living in America, they should be able to wear something that symbolizes their own country.

I believe this is called freedom of speech. I may be wrong, but according to my knowledge there is no "can't support your own country in your own country if another country is celebrating a holiday" day.... even if the kids did it just to cause a ruckus (awesome word, right?)

so since this was in california... this was a problem...

where i went to school... it was very rural. the mexicans we knew... worked for the fencing company or a construction company... or were apple pickers. cinco de mayo was just another day around here. the confederate flag was abundant in my high school. wether it be on someones shirt... someones hat...or someones truck...it didnt matter.

ive never heard of anything like this around here. so because this happened in a state that happens to have a lot of mexicans... of course it made the news.

what wouldve happened if we were in great britian and on our independence day we were flying flags and cheering in the streets? you think that wouldve ended happily? i doubt it.

cinco de mayo all started over mexico oweing money to france... and they stopped paying.. so the french invaded... and they get a holiday out of it for fighting them off.

so wheres our holiday for the northern folks who won the civil war? or our holiday for the dropping of the nuke on japan?

im not typically a patriotic type person... but ive always been a firm believer of... if you dont like it here... go back to your country....nones keeping you here.

i also believe that if you would like to come to this country... the predominant language here is english... if your not willing to learn it... the go back to your country...

if i were to move to say.. germany... id be expected to learn german. simple as that.

f**k that. The principal should be tarred and feathered.

This is America, if I want to wear an American flag shirt on Cinco de Mayo, I'll f**king do it. f**k Cinco de Mayo, this is America, call it 5th day of May, period.

I don't see anything special in Cindo de Mayo, Cinco de Mayo gets so much more press and advertising than 4th of July.
