Lol, yeah, that looks like a ton of work. I wouldn't do it if you're not crafty with a soldering iron.

I mean I am. That's not the problem. I just don't have the time for that. EVER. Haha.

So, it's been a few weeks. Haha. Car's been running great. Got a speeding ticket recently. Yay. ANNNYYYYYWAAYYYYY...

Got some new tires put on. Brand new Khumo's for $150 ((((:

Also bought this tonight with some early graduation money! Got tired of my crappy Yoshimura dirtbike muffler. So I got a brand new N1 for $100.

Things to come: center caps coming soon, red ctr floor mats temporarily, sound system overhaul, might rattle-can my hood.

Whatcha guys think?

Did the door jams get painted yet? It bothers me when the jams don't match the car. Engine bay is ok if it's "themed" IMO.

Yeah, it's going to be pricey. I'm going to fight the ticket though. There were no signs where I was and the cop was parked right by the "45 mph" sign when he pulled me over. Soo...

No, I haven't figured I paint it all at once. I think I'm just going to stick with matte black. Do it right though.

Also, I got a new gauge cluster thinking it would solve my fuel gauge... But it didn't. Any ideas? I have a brand new fuel pump.

dont know what its called, but the tihng that tells the gauge how much is in the tank?
my old 5.0's floater in the gas tank was messed up so if you made a turn the gas gauge would go whatever way you turned.

So, my parents are out of town for a funeral. They asked me to come watch my little brother for a few days until it's time for us to go up to San Antonio. My brother and I cleaned out the garage so I could park our cars in there. Which has never been done because my dad parks his C6 in there. ANYWAY. I found some automotive paint in there and decided I'd try my hand out at rattle canning the front half of my car. It was factory primer, and the back half was sprayed matte black. Kinda bothered me. So here it is. Haha. First time doing major paint.

Here's before pictures:

Here's after/during:

So, it's not an amazing paint job by any means. I know that. But at least it's more uniform now. Don't really know how much longer I'll have the car. Thinking about getting a 8th gen at the end of the year/new years.

So you sprayed more matte paint on?

And as for the fuel gauge, if you have a new cluster and pump, your gonna have to start tracing wires. Look for frayed/broken, etc. wires and trace the loom back to the pump. I don't have any diagrams but it would help to find some for the wiring. Once you find the wire/wires for the sender, do a continuity test on the wire/wires between the pump and cluster. This will tell you if the problem is in the wire harness.

It's flat black, with clear over it. It matches now, so it's not an eye sore. This was just a little project. Haha. It's not like I love the paint on it. I hope to one day have it professionally sprayed.

Okay, will do. Maybe when I take out my carpet/run my amp lines. Got a 12"
Solobaric L3 in a box for $40 today. Haha.
