It looks good and very convenient for hooking up a ps2 so can play games and watch dvds. The only problem I see is high exposure to theft unless u make a cover for it or something.

i hear ya, on the theft part, it would take them about an hour to get all the screws out that i put in it, not to mention they'd have to have the right bit for the head of the screw, fortuneatly theft isn't a big prob out here (knock on wood) its in there solid but a good theif could get it out, or they would just fuk it up trying (then i'd be real pissed) but thanks to all compliments

the ps2 will go in the glove box (new style ps2) and i'll use a cordless controller, i may ditch the dvd player after that but not sure either way i'll have to run a power inverter (which i wouldn't know where to put it)

i was originally gonna get a roll-out, but after looking at them more and more i decided to go the route i did, for 1 the screen is almost the entire hole in the dash, 2 it doesn't stick out or anything, and 3 cost less then about all of those roll-outs, the roll outs are nice don't get me wrong, but i like my set up better, its all a matter of opinion

heres my pioneer.. cost me 150. theres other screens that fit nice like the power acoustik pt-700mhr or farenheit t-7000mhr. the power acoustik is made by farenheit but just re branded.

IMO I Dont think it looks as clean as a flip out. Damn Close thoough if done right.
An Actual flip out will give you so much more control of your audio than a raw monitor.

The best way to do the raw monitor is buying a good stand alone dvd player Like Alpines dva-7996
or Pioneers version or Panasonic version.

Too many people I see using the raw monitors in the double din location have a mediocre deck to say the most, coupled to a playstation 2 if that.
I just think if you are going to have video do it right. Get the correct headunit to drive the monitor. A ps@ or Xbox is a must buts it not suppose to be your video source.

this set up is cheaper than buying a flip up, plus I dont want my air vent covered by a screen, theres times it gets really hot here in miami and I have to use my a/c and i'll go crazy if the screen gets all the air and not me

i agree w/ ya on that a lil bit, i would have liked to have had the $$$ to get the pioneer dvd/ radio/ mp3 player, but i'd rather have the turbo kit ya know, i do have my audio ran through the aux port on my pioneer so full audio control (no fm modulator on there) you can't even tell my dvd player is there, every single wire is hidden (pain in the ass but has to be done) the double din units are where its at, i was gonna look into the new pioneer or kenwood but they shut of when 10mph is detected through the nav system.
