Soo..
So this morning before coming into work, I start up my car and let her warm up for a good bit (while I get dressed for work). After about 10 or so odd minutes of getting dressed, I go into the garage, jump in my car, and take off to work. According to my car, It takes 10.2 miles to get to work (1 way)... So I'm cruising along and about 8.4 miles (still like 7-8 minutes from work), I notice the temp needle move up about a 1-2mm from where it usually is. Now looking at the needle, it's at about the halfway mark from C and H. Well, being so close to work already, I decide maybe I should just take it easy and make it to work to check out what could be wrong... I turn up the heater, full blast, and limp it out the rest of the way.
Here's the problem:
At 9.6 miles (literally like 2 blocks away from the office), I notice the needle raising higher and higher. WTF IS GOING ON?!!?!?!?!??!!!!!!!!!1 Anyways, the road I was on is a 1 lane, 1 way, and there's no place to turn in, so I decide to make it down the street to the office. As I park my car in the parking lot, I notice smoke from under the hood! I turned off the engine, but still left the heater on blowing... I pop the hood to find the source of the smoke coming from around the turbo area. Okay, so I've had this problem in the past (my coolant return line busted before), with this in mind, I was thinking it could've been the same problem. So I reach down there and feel on the rubber hose and it was moist and what not, something similar to having a steam or smoke film on it, but I couldn't seem to find any cuts or tears or simply any damage. I look around and check all the lines that coolant can run through, nothing... I've even checked all the clamps and what not, and they all seem tight and secure. Smoke is coming out of somewhere, but I don't know where... wth?
