Yeah if you have a POS ebay one. A good block gaurd is great investment. I providing the cylinder wallwith the stability of a sleved motor. & if you saying have a block gaurd is bad the the same would appile for a sleeved motor since coolent flows though it the same.

no it wouldnt
a block guard is something not needed and definately not the same as a closed deck.

did i miss somthing... what turno r u planning on running? and if ur state only lets u have obd II then they prolly have regulations on the mods u can have like california... i know here u can only have 2 kits legally, greddy kit and edlebrock... kinda limits ur options

Hes in NC... and im not positive but i dont believe there is any limit to what kits/upgrades you can have on your car. Just my guess though. My cousin lives near Hickory and hes got an 00 Si, runnin a greddy kit.

greddy kit is 50 state legal. lol. anyway just do what they said about going obd1. you dont need to change anything except you need a conversion harness (obd2b -> obd1). and when it comes time for inspection just change your ecu back to your stock, and compensate for a bit, when inspection is over change your ecu back quickly. dont try to boost on your stock ecu.

in some states like cali you can find shops where you just pay the guy off with some extra "dough". and theyll pass you. you just have to find them.
