NC has no emissions, & never will anyone be asked for a carb number. They have tailpipe emissons for a while & got rid of it again

blockguards are not the right choice when building an engine

first because most of them create heatspots with unnecessary hole locations in them
second because sleeves tend to crack 3/4 of the way up, where the blockguard doesnt do anything
third because it adds more stress to the ring lands instead of the hg (not to say ur hg will always blow before ur ring lands)

ravage please never answer a tech question again. go whore in the lounge. we need knowledgeable people answering questions who have had countless amount of experiance. not f**king noobs who are about to let some guy blow his motor up with a " t3 at 12 psi, you need nothing else " kind of statement. you = f**ktard.

listen and ask questions and then go blow up your own motor before you start offering information about s**t you havent even done yet.

not too mention, unless a blockguard is properly installed- the block stripped down, the guard lightly pressed in, welded, and then the cylinders bored and honed to ensure they havent shifted, you will probably sieze the motor. and there are plenty of people runnign 12 psi on stock motors, they just know how to drive them and they are properly tuned. a block guard adds very little to a motor, almost universally the rods will give out or you will detonate way before your making enough cylinder pressure to crack the sleeves. all most blockguards do, even the good ones is restrict coolant flow where it is needed most (the top of the sleeve at the combustion chamber), and anyone who knows anything knows sleeves crack most often in the center, when the rod is at its highest angle to the sleeve, NOT at the top (unless its detonatio).

wow. go boost your stock d16 at 12 psi you f**ktard. get it on video too would you please? maybe after a complete dyno tune and very very tight tuning could that be done. but if you were smart enough to make that run good in the first place you would have gone with a different setup. out of all people, you are condoning these ricers run 12 psi with an AFC hack? LOL you dumbass seeing that the map sensor doesnt even read that high, you s**t would be toast. block guards installed properly can be effective yes. and installed improperly can be defective, or course. i just dont want f**ktards like ravage and faggots like you condoning 12 psi on a stock setup. not to mention one of block guards main funtion is to reduce micro-vibrations that cause problems on a highly tuned motor.

1. a hack is not a good tune, and i know i didnt say it was. and yes, stock map sensors cant read above 10.x psi, but umm.. its called a gm 3 bar, lets you run 31 psi. costs under 100 bucks from any auto parts store. you cant run a 3 bar on an afc anyway, you need software like hondata or uberdata to modify the signal correctly because a 3 bar uses a different voltage scale.

2. i never said 12 psi was smart, or advisable, however it has been done and it does work. http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=821860&page=1 - 262whp on a stock d16, driven for 1 year, over 2500 miles. hes even on your precious sohchonda.
i would find more, however im lazy, so do your own searching.

well im afraid i have proven you wrong because of multiple reasons.

1. im glad you agree with me that the hack isnt a good tune, but your arguing for ravage, and he had mentioned the hack in a previous post of this thread.

2. im glad you actually know how a map sensor works

3. 3 bar? hmm, i didnt know that was a stock part? oh yeah, its not.

4. im glad to see you agree with not boosting on 12 psi STOCK, oh wait, you keep bending the rules.

5. sohchonda has more infformation than this site has misinformation. for those who want to actually learn.

6. let me ask you this mr handlebars... would you run 12 psi on a stock d16? if you answer yes, you would be lying.

i would.. why because i have a wrx turbo. a td04l-13g.... why because its a damn 13g!!!

PLEASE REMEMBER 12psi on a 13g != 12psi on a T3 super60

i know someone running 12psi on a wrx turbo daily on a STOCK Y7 making 192whp and 186wtq

he's dyno tuned with uber.... its all in the tune.. its all in the tune

ps: no hard feelings, im not saying your not smart, just pointing out some facts

Holy crap you're a dickhead.
#1: He never agreed with Ravage on the hack. You put those words in his mouth. His point was that it can be done on an engine with stock internals.
#2: Well I already called you a dickhead. But here goes again. Dickhead.
#3: He never said it was a stock part. When he was talking about stock he meant internals. Apparently you're too f**king dense to figure that one out.
#4: Yep, you're still a dickhead.
#5: Then go back there.
#6 Let me ask you something. Do you get much air with your head shoved so far up your ass like that?

Yeah you certainly proved him wrong for multiple reasons.

wow your cool.

1. i never said he agreed you lame f**ktard. i simply said he " supported " learn how to read, but nice try.

2. my head does look like a d**k, unfortunatly im sure you would enjoy its dexterity.

3. ravage made a statement that said you can boost 12 psi on stock with a t3. again, because of the fact that f**ktard-bars or whatever his name is, is supporting him? i tend to go along with what ravage said in my argument.

4. i agree, thanks for feeding my ego once more.

5. again, you would enjoy its dexterity.

6. well because my head is in the shape of a d**k, the seal between my anus and head is quite sufficient. no much air leakadge. i usually pull out to get a deep breaththough/

now, if you want to argue with facts? lets. i see your post as someone whos mad im right.

again, thanks for feeding my ego, and better luck to you next time buddy.
