True, but also came with 5x114 bolt pattern, while the 05+ sti's came with by 5x114.3 (same as the evo's bolt pattern...rofl). 04's had smaller hub assemblies as well as some other minor modifications. On the interior the 04's have the hand brake on the right side of the center console, while the 05's had it on the left, the dccd controls are at a different location on the 04's and 05's, the steering wheel, climate control etc. are different in the two. The Stock maps on the ecu's on 04's and 05's are different, while the 04's have more advanced timing stock, as well as a more aggressive timing profile (many complained and subaru offered a reflash to the 05 rom under warranty), the reason being the 04's had a more lumpy idle than the 05's.
I really like my 05 and have gotten a lot of power out of the motor. I was running the UTEC, which had antilag, two step and flat foot shifting, but DO NOT i repeat DOOOO NOTTTT get the utec, reason being, it works off of throttle position. Once you go past 60 percent throttle, the utec kicks in and advances timing, if your not careful and are running a stock base map, the change in timing can be up to 11 degrees at that point. It is significant enough to blow a ringland... Take it from me. currently i run the accessport and have made 407whp on a 35r setup reliably, this is on a axxis stage 2 block. But i will post pics later today, look for em.

Matt

ps it was 407 on 93 and 452 at 27psi on race gas
True except for the 04's have 5x100 pattern, i think it was just a typo though. Currently I'm using opensource tuning, but plan on getting a V2 accessport when I get ready to get protuned. Your car sounds great, Ill look for the pics!

wow your pictures are crisp. the subbie kicks ass to! I've always like that model best compared to the rest.
The pics were taken with my Nikon D40, I am extremely pleased with the way this thing gives great results!!!

Thanks again for the kind words all!
