definitly. my plan is to have 3 defi gauges across in that area. my father is hella good with aluminum so im going to have him show me how to make a piece to fit perfectly. paint that piece flat black and bake it in the oven for 30 mins so it has a light wrinkle effect to match the trim. will be cherry when im done

i was planning on taking out my radio, and put it in the cup holder.....and sell my gauge pods, its starting to irritate me....hopefully i get it done soon

^^ yeah thats a good idea. thats another reason i went this route. i got a buddy with the gauge pods and i dont like them at all. plus they are way to flashy for me.

if you can move your radio down also, you can mount a 99-00 midsection with a 7" screen!

you could but it wont function correctly. 96-98 and 99-00 have different ac units. therefore you would have to change everthing. you would have to take the Whole dash out and that is alot of work for just a 99-00 console and 7" screen.
i would only do that if you were converting your car to 99-00 specs and you didint want anyone to know that it was truly a 96-98.

the gap is in the centimeters, im thinking about 3-4. so you cant really tell that much at all if you didnt know it was done.

yeah i know the buttons wouldnt work, but i would remove the buttons and get it all flar so the 7" screen would fit. Just for the screen, not for the ac unit controla. you already have one down there...
