While I would normally agree with you, I don't in this case.

As said before, if you own a dog and it's in the middle of the road, it's: 1. not trained properly at all, which in that case: 2. needs to be on a lease/chain that's tied down on something. I absolutely love pets, more particularly dogs and cats. All of the dogs I have come to known well have been dogs of owners that are friends of mine. And all of them stay away from the road. Even if you're walking it and come up to the road, they will sit there, stop, and wait for your signal to tell them to keep going.

But the one thing I absolutely HATE is when people treat their dogs like s**t and not get them trained. I hear about people that beat their dogs or treat them poorly then continue to say it's a shitty dog. Do you know why it's a shitty dog? Because you either didn't get it trained or you treat it shitty which in turn basically trains them to either hate you and continue to act shitty or cower in fear at any sudden movement you make. Or people that don't get their dog trained and act like the stupid parents that are completely oblivious and say, "Our dog is so good. Our dog would never do that". It takes a lot of work to properly train a dog to behave really well.
so because the dog was not trained to look both ways before crossing its ok to run it over? maybe it was an inside pet that got out and wandered off. maybe it had a family, and a mortgage, and volunteered at the children's hospital on weekends. JOHN WHERE IS YOUR COMPASSION?!
