im really not sure what kind of resistors i used, because i just ordered the ones that came with my led's from oznium. but normally u need 1 resistor per led unless u are wiring them in a series, the thing is, and i learned this the hard way, if u dont use a resistor on a led, it burns out the led real quick

ive had cases where i didnt attach a resistor and it blew the top of the led right off. radio shack has resistors.

I dunno if mine burned out cuz i didnt use a resonator the bulbs look fine and the wire doesnt look burned. Just what smoked yesterday is the onboard switch they have. But still when its put onto on or to beat to music mode the red or green lights on the switch work

so according to those diagrams i need a resistor but they dont have my circuit

Heres a POS drawing of my circuit:

Currently the Cathodes only work
If you can express your explanation in drawing too that would be helpful to figure it out

Also the onboard circuit on the LED's is right next to my shifter not around my fuse box where my other switch is. If you guys can help me wire it so that all the lights are controled by the switch on the LED's that would be great..

SO i want to kno how to fix the current setup to make it work
and
How to rewire it to make the switch on the led's control everything. In this case if i get pulled over since its right next to the shifter i dont need to make many movements to turn it off. its easier in a bad situation

SO i want to kno 2 different ways to make it work

sorry, didnt read all of it, but I hope you know if you cut off the USB port, then hooked it up to 12V, you made a mistake.

USB as a standard puts out 5VDC, not 12VDC....

so you essentially put 12(well probably more like 13-14 volts) into a unit made to accept 5...

(computers run off 12V INSIDE...they have a 12V rail, and a 5V rail, then 2 grounds inbetween on each molex...

quick85Supra: the leds are shot now, leds take low volatage and low amps. the transformer actually put so much amperage thru the leds the turned into heater elements like a toaster
quick85Supra: what go buy real leds, from radio shack that are rated for 12v rewire like i showed u and it will work
quick85Supra: make sense?
quick85Supra: shh u want bright leds cheap? but 1157 APC led replacement bulbs and ur a clear paint to make ur own color
quick85Supra: buy em at pepboys an they are bright as a mofo, just lightly paint the bulbs the color u want

anyways im thinking getting a few of these and putting them on the same circuit
http://www.oznium.com/prewired-leds
but those will be more messy and ull need to fool with wires more. I currently have 1 12inch under each side of the dash
SO I can also get
another set like what i have now:
http://www.oznium.com/cathode-kit
or a 15 inch set which has a music sensitivety switch which the 12 inch dont have:
http://www.oznium.com/cathode-kit-15

Im thinking to put them under my seats unless u guys say differently or have another location
