Just gotta 05 civic ex. I have two pioneer subs boxed and i wanna place the amplifier somewhere so if i need to take the subs out, i can just remove the speaker wire and still have enough trunk space to use if i got on a trip or something. Anybody got any suggestions?

I had my amp screwed to my rear seat, I still had lots of trunk space whenever I took out the subs

Under the front seat, it also keeps people from taking it when they steal your car. I had mine for hte longestime bolted upside down to the seat

under the seat = very hard to steal.

on the back of the seat = easy to get to, easy to adjust if you change your subs.

that is all. =)

the only bad thing about under the front seat is that it may heat up if it doesnt come with a cooling fan

probably not, because the trunk gets 3x hotter than the cabin and gets WAY less air flow.

i have mine mounted to the top of the sub box...no detrement to the sound (its a ported box anyway). decent airflow too for being in a trunk. I have no heat issues what-so-ever either.

Mounting the amp on the sub box is not a good idea. The vibrations from the subwoofers can shake and loosen the capacitors and s**t inside the amp.

Also if he wanted to take the box out when he needed to, mounting right onto the sub box would not be an option...disconnecting the whole amp every time hw eanted to move it.

I say either under a seat, or against back seats. Then, when you want to take it out, all you have to do is disconnect the Speaker wire from the box.

I'd say mount it to the seatback. That way if you need the trunk space, just pull out the sub.

i'll believe that when i see it... and disconnecting the amp isn't hard...just 3 wires to disconnect. all you need is a screwdriver...
