well it is true, it won't be a big problem if you don't have big spl....but if you are pushing any semi large numbers it isn't a good idea, common sense will tell you that. I would never push something like W7s with the amp mounted on the box, in the long run it WILL shorten the life of you amp.EXSpeedAddict said:i'll believe that when i see it... and disconnecting the amp isn't hard...just 3 wires to disconnect. all you need is a screwdriver...
It's not hard, but damn inconveinent. It can't be good for your wiring either taking them on/off.EXSpeedAddict said:i'll believe that when i see it... and disconnecting the amp isn't hard...just 3 wires to disconnect. all you need is a screwdriver...
hes right. the box is the worst place to mount it. Might as well toss your amp in the fryer for a whileEXSpeedAddict said:i'll believe that when i see it... and disconnecting the amp isn't hard...just 3 wires to disconnect. all you need is a screwdriver...
WERD......that VERBAL said:Mounting the amp on the sub box is not a good idea. The vibrations from the subwoofers can shake and loosen the capacitors and s**t inside the amp.
VERY common misconception.... - really depends on the material the box is made of and if the box is correctly built - i don't know of ANY sub that will make 3/4" MDF flex enough to do any kind of damage to an amplifier mounted on the box itself.... now about the easy to steal point - that is true....that VERBAL said:Mounting the amp on the sub box is not a good idea.
