i payed 100 on one of those matrix scams. don't ask. i lost 300 bucks to those matrix scams but one did pay off.
Yea pioneer is really good products. i keep getting updates for the software and navi maps. however if you were choosing between an avic-n2 and a avic-n1 i would get the n1. the n2 compleatly disabled playing dvd's in the front seat when the car is moving. in the n1 you can(but its defently not legal)

like i said the N2 disabled it. there is a gyro that senses if the car is moving and disables it. IT CANT BE DONE. thats why i said get the n1. god reading>you

Civic 2004 - on some indash they use a parking brake wire to sense if the brake is on or not. all you do is connect that wire to the ground from the system and the system will be tricked into thinking the parking brake is on all the time.

that gyro is called an "Accelerometer"

it can be bypassed. but it requires opening the unit and a little wiring.
i've never done it but i've had friends who have.

but then you run the risk of frying the deck and the warranty will not cover it

yea its not as simple as one wire. the shop i go to, wont do it(and they will do a lot that mosts shops wont) i guess with the Accelerometer you wont need to put the reverse sensor in either

So you're saying that it can be bypassed, but is not ez to do and a lot of shops won't do it because of that.

i've got a screen in my glove box, so i can just open it up and watch it from there...not a permanant wiring job though...just threw it in there so I wouldn't have the screen just out...didn't wanna give someone another reason to jack my car. haha

yea i wasn't talking about the double din screen. i was talking about the avic n2. someone wanted to know about my system and i told them. i don't know about other systems, i work primarily with pioneers so that what i know. d-bag
