I have a 94 lx sedan with a d15b7. now before everyone tells me to get a swap its not an option. i dont want to and cant spend alot of money. I already have a short ram intake and n1 exhaust. any suggestions? i was thinking my header ignition fuel rail fuel pressure reg. somethings along thoes lines. i would really like to try to make 120-125 hp. also is there anything from maybe a d16 that i could use?

not planning to hit the tracks and jus want a lil more power huh. this is jus my opinion of that so don't get all mad and shiat at me all. the basic things you can do right now because you don't wanna go for bigger gains is a mini-me swap, i/h/e, ecu, msd, spark plug wires, spark plugs, like most peeps stated above. remove the spare tire and all other unused or things that don't really matter to you (ps & ac) and you should be decent for a lx sedan. but i wouldn't do it if i wasn't gonna go for more power. all those things will easily cost up to $1800+. add 400 more and hey, wut do you know, a b16. trust me man, when you get a little power, you're gonna want more power. i jus look at faster cars than mine and i want more power. so do a lil thinkin before you actually start buying your parts because i think if you're not gonna go for speed then with the dough that your gonna be spending on the regular bolt ons to your lx, might as well jus get some 17 rims and get it dropped, a car wash every now and then and you'll have a pretty nice lookin car. jus my opinion though.

I have the same problem, same engine and all. I dont really want more bhp, I want more torque, shifting from first to second is a little embarassing. =) I think headers would be a good start for you.

I'm kinda in the same boat. I own a 10 year old EX, and would love to pull the motor, totally build out the d16z6, it would be fun! but what would I have then? a $3000 motor in a car worth maybe $3000! Maybe I'll do it anyway!

you will be surprised of the ponies you can actually get out of a d series. takes time, knowledge, and of course money, but there's potential. it's just very hidden in there.

that would be the :rice: way to do it. An intake manifold, cam gears, and new pulleys will help a little. Not what i'd normally suggest. I think the best way would be to build your engine internally before you start doing bolt on's, but you said you weren't trying to spend a lot of money...So here's a little help for a little money...
