auto to manual swap on a 98 ek d16y8

With knowing to get the necessary parts is the process just remove and replace or is there speed bumps along the way? Also is there any electrical or ecu issues? Assistance please

It would probably be cheaper/easier to just sell your current auto trans civic and buy one with a manual trans already in it from the factory. You'll have to not only replace the trans but have to buy shift cables/linkage, a clutch pedal and master and slave cylinders, clutch hose/line, cut and modify the interior to allow for the pedal, you'll most likely have to change the computer and almost definitely the engine wire harness. Unless there is something particularly special about your current civic, I would not recommend spending any time or money on such a huge headache. (Just my opinion)

There's a good bit of parts you need, and yes there is some wiring. When we did this with my car, we started tearing into it Friday night, and was drivable Sunday afternoon. It's not too bad, the clutch pedal was the biggest PITA. Just not a lot of room to with with under there.

It cost me ~$800 in parts to complete this.
