:?: Well i still can't decide how to rebuild my ITR, don't know if i should lower my compression to 10:1 and go boost or go back with 11:1 and spray it. If i boost I'm not going to be able to boost right away untill i save up for it. I really don't want to go any lower than 10:1 so that way i don't feel a major loss in power all motor. The pistons i'm looking at aren't available in 10:1 so i was wondering if i knocked a liitle of the head to raise the compression to make it 10:1 if it would mess with my timing? All opinions welcome.

please keep it N/A, but if you dont then nitrous
ditto. the whole point of the type r is the high rpms. high rpms and boost dont mix. just a hit of advice. stay N/A and rock it

you can be spoolin in the civic all day. you can't run n2o all day unless youve got deep pockets. unless im uninformed on n2o. i like my turbo. you can always do both.

n2o would make for a great sleeper.

maybe you missed the part where he said its a type r. i dont like type r's, but boosting them is a complete waste of the whole intention of that motor.

*edit* i dont see how someone would buy an itr with intentions of boosting it later, why not just buy a gsr.

i did miss all that mumbo gumbo. then use n2o. or you could sell the type r, buy a gsr and with the change either start a turbo kit or n2o that.

Well i bought my Si with the type r swap already and ended up spining two bearings. Now that i'm rebuilding it i was wondering what to build for. I realy want to go boost but then again i don't want to ruin a type r by lowering compression. I'll probably end up going back with stock compression and then spraying it. Thanks for all the thoughts and if any more come along feel free to post them.

if you want boost so bad ( i dont blame you, i would want a turbo gsr over a nitrous'd itr any day of the week), just sell the type r and buy a gsr instead. as you said, dont ruin a type r by putting on a snail
