Nagging is the least they would've done

They probably would've taken the car away for some time, made me get all new stuff & take it to a bodyshop on my money and not insurance (my past tickets raised his rates enough), etc etc

I almost always bring it with me and just leave it in the passenger seat. You never know if/when you'll need it
