I know this subject has probably been brushed on before but I couldn't manage to find it using the forum search. What are the best mods for the 96 CX if any? I realize this engine isn't ideal for getting significant power gains but I was wondering what are the best mods the get the most possible power before going to an engine swap....lol. This is my econo car and it only has 63,000 miles on it so I'm not game for an engine swap quite yet.

i say save up and build your own turbo kit and then while u do that u can mod the car on the side with some coilovers, exhaust, stuff like that then if u want more power then decide to build the motor for high boost or do a motor swap. thats my take on it. o and get a head swap and transmission swap cuz those transmissions are no good IMO.

I knew a guy that turboed his cx motor and when he dynoed it the motor was like 97 Horse power or 115 hp some rediculously low number like that. I think you should save for a swap the cx hatch is I belive one of the if not the lightest hatches the civic has........

Suspension, engine swap. That's what makes the most sense to me.

your not gonna get alot of power out of it, but I recommend making it handle well with new suspension and sway bars...then simple bolt ons like Intake, Header, Exhaust and a strut tower brace

i/h/e is gonna have an effect of next to nothing, spend a couple hundred bucks on something that has nothing to do with that worthless motor and can be used later
