basically.. if the guy wants to drive around with a kit, no drop, no rims. thats his car.. if he likes it.. fine.. i was so tired of people bitching about me having rims and no drop. s**t.. the gap didnt bother me.. why am i gonna sacrifice the bottom of my car to look good? yeah.. a complete car is always better than a half finished ride, but it always depends on the person's situation. the roads around here wouldve finished my car in no time..

the plus about having a kit first is that now he can find out how much he can actually drop his car and what rims he could buy. the negative is that it looks really goofy.

the plus about having a drop and rims is that it looks really good.. but then you buy a kit and you'll be scraping.

you screwed either way..

my friend scrapes everything with his kit and he's only dropped about an inch.. he's cracked his front bumper and the skirts are ready to fall off. dropped his car first, then bought the kit.

i told him to do that.. "i like it".. now he's got a nice big crack in it.. the only problem i see with finding something to match your drop is that you can barely ever find anyone with the right info. every other person you call will most likely give you a different measurement. unless you see the kit before buying..

a kit to match your drop? you have to adjust your drop to match your kit.

personally I think every car with a body kit and no rims looks like ass, it's like rice to the max
I'm not talking about driving around for 6 months with a kit and no rims, I just think that you should see the kit on the car before you choose rims to match. Wheels should match the car, not the other way around. You wouldn't paint your car to match your wheels, you'd buy wheels to match your paint, same idea..

so which is better wheel gap or scrapping the ground? why would you want either one? think bout it undropped car on rims is just as rice as nothin having rims w/t kit, and why would you want to scrape your kit it wouldn't last a season..

urethane is just as strong as ur stock bumper to pix is not as easy but it will not crack like ur fiberglass kit, just a simple rock chip can start a crack on fiberglass. and once a weak poin is made infiberglass it will always crack even after repaired it can crack again.

Thats what im sayin dude. Personally i think its better of him to put the kit on first and ride around with no drop and rims rather then drop it first, put the kit on and crack it the first bump he hits. That just makes more sense to me

I see what everyone is saying....I have only had the car for about 3 weeks now so its pretty much still a big work in progress....I should have my 17' Motegi MR-7's in about a week....so rolling around on steellies for a week or 2 isn't that bad for right now...even though it doesn't look that good....I will deal with it for right now....

By the way...I have seen undropped cars with rims and a body kit and it still looks very nice...I actually have two Prelude's by my house with kits, wheels and its not dropped.....but anyway I think I will make the decision to drop when I put my Motegi's on...

Thanks bro I appreciate it. I seriously was looking for a decent kit that wasn't too ricey...even though some will say that every kit is rice. I think the octane's are the best kits to buy that are better than stock but not that outrageous and ricey. I found a good price on it and for the paint job, so i took the kit over wheels, Si spoiler and drop....thats next on the list though. Plus it could be worse....I could have it on without being painted.... :( :???:

If I do drop it...I think im dropping it 1.8" with a set of Eibach Coilovers...

big holes in front with nothing to fill them = too much negative space.
