boost leak?? not hitting full boost

I'm actually having that same problem. I was boosting at 17psi for a good month then all of a sudden it dropped all the way down to 10psi.

I checked all my pipings and couplers, found nothing.

Then a friend mention to me that it might be my manual boost controller. Any thoughts on that?

And i dont know if its safe or not but to compensate for my lost of boost i just tuned the nob for more boost till i got the right psi.

which now i spike 17 and settle down to 15psi

i had mbc set to 8psi....when i went to turn it up to 12psi nothing happened....so i turned it up more and still nothing.....so im going to see if its the wastegate ...

how big is this turbo your running? check for shaft play on the turbo and check your bov.

my turbo is a garret t3/t4 57trim .63A/R

there is probably little to none shaft play, the BOV on the other hand i got a HKS one maybe thats the source of my problem

every now and then the bov would turn by itself and i would readjust it and try to push that C- clamp down to tighten it.
