Like said before, due to the oem cylinder wall material, look around for right pistons for your block. There are plenty of 300-350whp stock block H-series running around out there.
I don't think you'd need to stroke the motor over, I mean, is the 87mm bore & 90mm stroke not big and long enough for you!?!?!?!? Anyways, I wouldn't want to rev higher than 8k on these motors anyway, not unless you had a fully built block, which if you do go with the Darton stroker kit route, I guess it would be possible.
