bov sucks

i have greedy knock off bov and you cant really hear it, this guy in town with a 00 si said a honda dont blow off like other cars, i think he is full of s**t, right now i am only running 5 psi, will it get louder when i bump up too 8 or 9, or with 5 psi will a rfl be any louder.

could be a leak somewhere too, meaning the full 5psi isnt getting let out between shifts, but also 5psi isnt much...

the more you blow out the louder it will be so yeah increasing boost will make it louder

could be that your valve spring is too tight and its not actually letting pressure out.

its not that i only want the loud psssst sound, i love the pwer and i am going to the dyno and getting it tuned by a hondata tuner and going to 8 or 9 psi, but hell i spent all this money on this and would like to have the total package, you know what i mean, pssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssst.

dont any one like the RFL , i just heard it is really good bov and "really f**king loud", but the forge sounds like it would be a nice one, but all of them seem to be for oem turbo cars.

loudest blow off valve i have ever heard was an HKS SSQV you can hear it like a half mile away, sounds like a whip

no idea, it was on an sr20 swapped 240 at an autox event that i went to. the guy didnt even have to be at full boost for this thing to be unforgivingly loud, he could be going around a croner and let off the gas like 5 times in a row and every time it was just as loud. so i dont think you really need to be at a high psi.

Does the compressor or bov magically change how it works when its on a Honda and therefore doesn't "blow off like other cars"? That guy in town is a f**king doucebag.

The reason is you have a knock off bov.. its not made the same, and thats why it was a hell of a lot cheeper than the others. I have used gready Type-RS, S , and R all have been loud at 5 to 8 psi. my fav is the HKS its alot more then others cost wise.. but i love the sound..

BOV dont suck, they blow, lol, jk, anywho, hondas dont sound any diffrent. BOV release pressure from inside the piping, and if the turbo is the same, the piping is the same, it doenst make a danm bit of diffrence. The only thing that may make your BOV sound diffrent is if you have a diffrent setting, flanger, or what not.
