Broken Recaro...HELP!

Well...on the good side, i got my JDM ITR front and rear seats today. On the bad side, one (will be my pass. seat ) is missing the reclining knob It looks as tho it was broken off somehow on it's way to me, cause the shipper claims it was intact upon shipping them

Anyway, here's what it looks like:





And here's how it should look ( in comparison )




So....does anyone know what can be done? Anyone else have this problem? Any way to fix it, even if temp. just so someone can sit in it? Thanks in advance...

doesnt it just pop on? I think so...i would see how you get the good one off and experiment with it.

But....I don't have the knob lol

And look closely, you can see metal or whateva still in there, it snapped off. I tried popping off the good one, but I'm not going to try TOO hard, I'd like at least my seat in working order

And I would report it, but what good will that do if I already signed for it?

Nothing....so it will not stay up? you might have to get crafty mike.

Well, IMO i got a good deal....front and rears shipped for $800...

Here's the deal...the seat is stuck in the lying down position basically. Passengers could lie in my car

If anything, at least I can put mine in *sigh*

yes, it's pointless, so i am not going to bother.

And no, you don't press the button in to recline it...you just turn the knob...

if the shipper claims it was intact then where the hell did the knob go? even if you sign for a package you can still file a claim. How was it shipped? What they will do is send a representative/ claim adjuster out to take pix of the seat and packaging it was in. call recaro and see if you can get a replacement part
