yes, because swapping to a motor with less potential is pure genius.
the ka24de has a bulletproof bottom end and is built for boost.
the bonus 0.6L displacement makes it such a logical choice.
it's like going from an h22a to a b16.
the weak point in the KA is the ring lands

more like going from an f22a to a B16...even tho its less displacement. it can still be a better motor. and as for the KA having a bulletproof block. their pretty strong. but the CA is still cast iron and with good pistons will take anything you throw at it. and like i said. getting a ka24de would be pretty difficult for me, CA18 is very easy. honestly i would take either.

especially over my single cam piece of crap with an auto tranny..

Single cams can be beasts as well, they are actually stronger then the DE is, believe it or not.... However, you are still only running single cam, so you are a little bit limited....

Yeah, the CAs are abuse junkies.... If you put just a little bit of work into them they can withstand crazy amounts of boost without a single hiccup.... Most people's problems is that when they buy one they don't rebuild it when they get it, rather swap it straight in.... CAs are generally older motors with some abuse in them, if you want to avoid problems take the time to rebuild it before you swap, you'll be thankfull you did....

But all that is null and void because the RB is the hotness.... :P

evryone is still telling him that he should have gone sr, but im with u guys and him, he would have spent more on the swap than he did on mods for this ka24, plus ive ridden/driven in 240s with both and i wasnt impressed with the sr's performance compared to the ka24's, so i say as far as 240's go KA-T FTW!!

ORLY you have drive a KA-T and an SR. I call BS

and when the hell did you buy a 240?

The KA is also a cast iron block. the record for highest HP on a comepletly stock block is 528whp. completely stock block and head and it has been drivern boosted for 3 years. but the CA is a awsome motor just needs some toys, cam, good exhaust manifold good turbo and fuel and tuning and you can have one hell of a setup.
