umm he could have called for help (emergency crew), could have made sure dude's car wasnt goin up in flames. could have at the very least went and tried to comfort one of the injured. In my opinion to ignore the health of any person involved in any type of accident in a bit selfish. I'm not in any type of medical response field but i have seen plenty of accidents and i'm usually the first one to get on the phone for help and no matter how serious the accident has been, i have always stayed with the people untill help arrived. I feel that this is my job as a human.4thengine said:What could he do to help? One of the first things you learn is that you don't move the victim unless you know what you're doing or you absolutely need to. The reporter couldn't do anything to help, so he just did his job.
And the guy in the car deserves it. Dumbass didn't even look or he would never have crashed.
My natural reaction to something like that would be to rush over there and make sure they are ok, then call the police. I wouldnt be thinking "What CAN I do?"4thengine said:What could he do to help? nice sig btw
It was a live broadcast. I'm sure that someone in the emergency crew just happened to see it. Plus, reporters have an entire support crew. It's more than possible someone off camera was dialing 911. Also, keep in mind that if you're unsure whether a car is going to catch fire or not, it's wisest to keep a bit of distance. The way I see it, as a reporter, he not only had NO obligation to save anyone, but he had a major obligation to continue the story.cheezeonmakneez said:umm he could have called for help (emergency crew), could have made sure dude's car wasnt goin up in flames. could have at the very least went and tried to comfort one of the injured.
