So far thats what im planning on buying in the next month, and having installed in my car. Currently i have a Dual head unit installed, me and Jason installed on Saterday. Please feel free to leave comments about my plans, it will help greatly.

I hope you didnt buy any of this yet, no offense, but sony car audio is crap, dual hu's arent very good either, and while im at it, best buy is pretty crappy too.

IMO theres a lot better stuff you can get for the same price, and alot better places to buy it, it might take a little looking around, but you'll be happier in the long run

honestly man, i've been into car audio since iw as 14 (now im 19) and sony is not the way to go if you even care about car audio. the subs, amps, everything will not last long and every one and their grandmother has sony. honestly bro, i'd suggest some infinity kappa or reference, you can get them pretty cheap off of ebay. jbl and JL amps are pretty good, along with Rockford Fosgate. Best buy is not the best place to buy car audio stuff. trust me bro, you'll be a heck of a lot happier with some infinity's, I know that I am.

dont get anything low quality, like sony, lightning audio, dual, pyramid, legacy, jensen, etc.... just go with the good expensive s**t, like JL audio, Boston Acoustics, infinity, etc.... ill guarantee it will be worth it.

Sony is crappy. If you want a good setup go fosgate. Worth the money. P2 up. Fosgate amps are expensive. I ahve 2 10" p2's running a fosgate p3001 amp. I was gonn go with a 900W amp by kenwood but the sound from the fosgate (even though it is underpowered) is amazing. Sony is crap. I ahve two 6 by 9 xplodes in ym back. better than stock i guess. :shrug:

Bose is teh sex. but it's expensive my parents infiniti both have the bose sound pakages. Those single 12's are killer. Not as loud as mine but the sound qualiity is insane.

As far as I can see they are one of the last shops that Honor anything. Toomany small shops are in it for the money, and no customer service.
Best Buy carries alpine now, You can buy a 4 year service plan on it. So why not?

JL=good equipment but overpriced. Alpine is just as good for cheaper
Infinity= Alpine type R's blow them outta the water
sony= big floppy donky d**k
Boston= good, nothing alpine cant touch.

Listen if you are going to spend your hard earned cash on a good system and pay for install. Hook it up at Best Buy. Buy the 4 year service, you cant go wrong.

Best Buy will give you s**t if you try to hook it up and f**k something up.
Theres a reason installers need to pass a test

Im putting Type-S in my car from Alpine, I have a friend with that stuff in his car and it sounds great and that is true about Best Buy, they do have a 4 year service plan on Alpine but I got a quote there the other day for $1100 that includes 4 speaks, 2 12s and an amp. I already have an Alpine CDE9845 HU

snoopy316- the brand summaries are almost spot on, but best buy is a rip off, they ARE in it for the $$, not customer service, and the 4year service plan is a waste it doesnt cover most things that happen to speakers, even if they install (or attempt to) the components. I've been installing for a while and have NEVER had any problems with my work in any vehicle i've installed in. Most big places like best buy half ass jobs, run power and rca wires next to each other, and have left exposed bare wire in most of the work i've seen from them. Find someone local you trust to put stuff in, most smaller, personal installers do a better job at hiding wires, and wire them correctly, and acually care about what the job looks like and how it performs. I personally test and inspect every job i've done, mainly because if any of my customers ever have a problem, I can tell if someone else has messed with it and will fix any problems that arise. im not a pro by any means...
you can always do it your self too... buy a GOOD wiring kit, and have some fun with it.

almost on the boston, the pro series boston's are fukin LOUD and crisp as hell, not to mention they handle alot of power, alpine would be my 2nd choice if i wan't going to spen about 4-500 on componets, i think you nailed it right on the head, although the w7 is imo the best sub out BUT very heavy and too needy on airspace
