That lip is awesome. Can't wait to see the motor going in. Btw I found a 04 tsx head. Would that be a nice set up or should I look for a type s head? I want to keep the head stock for when I drop the motor then upgrade later if I need to.

THe 04-05 tsx is a pretty good head, much better than stock or an A3 head, but lacks the high flow rate of a A2. The Type S head has the highest flow rate and the 06-08 tsx head is a very close 2nd for flow but it has the most aggressive oem cams and stock oversized intake valves.

^^ he's got some bad ass work wheels to go on there when the K swap goes in.

I don't have a pic, but trust me when I say badass. Lol

But yes I agree the black and chrome does go well with his car.

The wheels aren't chrome at all....just machined lips and clean.

anyway....nothing fancy. Finally got around to the vtec solenoid gasket, so i picked up a few oem pieces I was missing for my k24. I always try to wait until I have a few things to order at once.

Some pics of said stuff

Hex nut caps, fuel rail insulators (I accidentally threw away when i put on the RBC manifold haha), coilpack cover bolts, and vtec solenoid gasket

The new gasket vs. the somehow melted and dry rotted old gasket

:party2:

OEM CRV engine bracket (necessary for a K24 swap to allow for proper hood clearance)

The TSX engine bracket

The naked carbon kevlar coilpack cover

Found out that my valve cover needs the 8mm hex caps on the back half :/ "why didn't you just use the parts from your valve cover when you originally got the engine?" That's a good question. When I had my valve cover black chromed by Charlie of CNS Custom Works, he ended up giving me another K series valve cover that was black chromed ahead of mine because he was behind on his projected finishing date, and the original owner of this valve cover didn't pay for the work yet.

more invisible bolts

fixed

finally bolted on

Still trying to stack up money to do bigger and better things. In the meantime, i'll just find small things to keep me occupied.

Just save for awhile and buy everything at once. I know it sucks, but its better in the end.

This thing is so clean. It's getting close now, I'm starting to get excited too even though its your project!

thanks! Really appreciate that.

Any round about date for the install?
No estimate. I have soo many things/hobbies going on at the same time. I could have had nearly everything already but I try to spread out my spending somewhat evenly. Plus I don't solely focus on the swap. I mod all around the car.

I thought about that, but I'd get bored of saving so much. I like adding the little pieces here and there. It also gives me the chance to focus on little details that I'm sure I'd overlook if I had all my parts together at once.
