this is my appropriately named "Civic GS-T project", consisting of a 95 DX coupe soon to be endowed with a plethora of parts of a 1G Eclipse GST. first off, the donor car. a 1995 canadian (eh?) civic dx coupe, 170k miles (trying to blow the d15b7 so i can get a z6 swap).

now the donations to the donor, a 14b mitsubishi turbocharger, hf manifold, and 1g dsm blow off valve. i'll also be running 450cc injectors and a starion intercooler.

my 15" rota circuit 8's with kumho 711's 205/50/15

my dash (jdm amber YO!)

the integra gauge cluster (yes it's a b***h to wire up, and yes it's an automatic cluster, i couldn't find one for my 5spd)

and the HID's-



and no, my camera lens isn't really dirty, its snowing here (in southeast TN? WTF?!?)

The ghetto CAI is nice,. really. Needs a drop though. Really makes me miss my coupe but I don't like miss matching generation badges. JMO

yeah i had a k&n cone on a short ram aluminized piece i fabbed up, then i realized "hey i can extend this down into the bumper using my stock intake arm and it fits perfectly". lol anyway it should be fixed soon and replaced by a bov and charge pipes.

i think its kinda funny...

B16 swap = about $1500

my turbo setup = under $500. approx $350 for parts, dyno time should be about $120.
my suspension setup = should be about $600. tein springs on tokico blue shox. gsr sway bar, strut bars, rear tie bar.

i can do turbo and suspension for about $500 less than a b-series swap, and completely rape b-swappers not only on the turns but also in the straights. (should be putting down 180-200hp on 8-10psi, and about 170lbft torque, a LOT more than b's) i tell u guys, its the way to go, everybody's like aw its only a little d but this lil d will be able to kick your b-ass.

lol probably not but i'm not even putting $5000 into the car. bought it $2750, then i'm gonna have about $2k more into it when i'm done with it (yeah right like that's gonna happen).

You'll need a better suspension set up than that . I've actually had that set up. It sucks.

really? what didn't you like about it, and what would you suggest? the tein springs seem to be really high quality, is your problem with the shocks? maybe some koni yellows?

hahahahahaha, buddy, you sure do make me laugh....sure, it will be better than stock, but you wont kick my b-swapped ass, in the turns OR the straights 8) ;)

but congrats on the project, i hope it goes smooth :D i never knew those parts were interchangable, thats pretty sweet that you got that whole set up for so cheap :thumbs up

Tein S-Techs are floaty as f**k and blues do nothing for stiffness especially with the higher ride height that S-Techs have. OEM rear sways are worthless IMO. I was happier when I just ran a front sway instead of both front and rear OEM sways. Even if I pushed and left foot braked turns I still was at least 10 mph slower in turns I can just throttle though now. So unless you are packin a suspension equal to mine you will NOT stay with me in the turns. My suspension quest has gone like this.............

TEIN S-Techs, Tokico HP's (blues), OEM EX front sway, GSR rear sway = SUCKS ASS

TEIN Basic Dampper, OEM EX front sway, GSR rear sway = NOT BAD

TEIN SS Damper, OEM EX front sway, GSR rear sway = DAMN GOOD

TEIN SS Damper, OEM EX front sway, SRR rear LCA's, SRR, 19mm sway bar, SRR lower tie bar = Bring on your turbo D with your shitty suspension.
