1999 Civic hatch. Jumped down to obd1 with all oxygen sensors disabled. Tuned, Running a b18c5. Modded obviously. Also would like to mention wire tucked.

Car was running fantastic all week. First week out since last year. Got a CEL friday, was IACV. Adjust some idle issues out, and reset ecu. Been ok all weekend. (code was 14 on flasher)

Today, driving down the highway, CEL popped on. Car ran like s**t. Pulled over and checked engine bay for anything visable. Seemed just normal. Went home and checked code. Flashed code 41. Oxygen heater sensor. Thing is... all my oxygen sensors has been disabled. So how/why would i ever get this code?!

It gets even wierder. Since the code, i have no Vtec, and no launch control. Im assuming thats just due to the fact its in limp mode when this cel is on. Ive checked fuse 15, ive tried other IACV, checked and cleaned grounds, tried my ecu in another car (no cel), all my oxygen sensor connections are capped. I simply have no idea what the hell would do this, or fix it. HELP please. Help... And with all due respect, only useful contents only please.

Cel comes on after 6 seconds or running everytime i start it. Runs like a bag of shat due to cel. Reward for anyone who can guide me to the problem area. Any questions, please ask.

Moved to Engine Tech; better visibility there.

Are you positive you're constantly running open loop? Might want to bring it back to the tuner if that's the case. Honestly it sounds like once your car is warmed up it's trying to switch to closed loop. When code 41 is there, it will run open loop regardless, AFAIK. Strange issue, wish I could be more of a help.

Good luck

Its doing this when cold aswell. As soon as you start the car. Tune was done three years ago, hasnt had an issue till this week. I checked the ecu in another car, no CEL,

Return your car to the tuner. You are not providing enough information about your set up and tune to get much help here.

And are you sure that the primary O2 sensor is disabled? That makes no sense.

Double check the code again? Maybe you miscounted the flashes? I really have no idea if the o2 sensors are really disabled.

Code flashing is 41. 4 long, 1 quick.

Both sensors were disabled in tuning, and ive had 0 issues for the last couple years running this chrome tuned chip. Anyways i got ahold of my tuner and hes sending me another chip of this tune. Just incase something failed on this chip. Ill update once the chip arrives if it fixes the problem. In the meantime, any help would be great.
