Yeah, they just broke the flange pieces that hang off the sides of the arm of the clutch and bent a rod on the boot and it just slipped off.
But still, they guarantee the car up to $5000 up to a year if it's stolen so that's still a bonus if the insurance short changes you.
I just gave it to the evidence tech along with the dash panel they broke off. Hopefully they can CSI it and find the perp.
It's nice cause when my del Sol was stolen when I lived in Chicago (now I live in the near burbs) the cops didn't even come by to file a report. They even forgot to call me when they found the shell of the car. Even if the tech can't help, at least he made me feel like he tried.

I looked at the Autolock disclaimer a little more and it says it will cover up to $5000 of the insurance deductible if the car is stolen.
It looks like maybe the just replaced the whole pedal. and left their crappy one on my car.
