if you had a v6, or a v8 where a tt setup was feasable and actually had some benefits, id say go for it. theres NO point to a tt setup on a I4 motor. if you really want 2 bovs, get 2 bovs on one turbo, it'll have the same effect. it has been done, with no success in anything other than saying they did it. single turbos have proven to be better on our cars. if you have the time, the money, and the skill to fab a tt setup, whatever, go for it. how on earth you'll fit two turbos in between the k block and the firewall is beyond me, but its your car. if your asking for actual advice, the best advice i can give you is that its been done, and its not worth it, so dont waste your time.

I always wanted to see a small turbo for low end, and a big turbo for high end, and both of them switch off power change right at the point of vtec... but thats just me and my little dreams. XD

TT wouldn't make more power then a single turbo on our cars. waste of time money and effort. sure it would be original but you'd still get spanked by people that have spent less money on their cars.

the reason people go TT is to have one turbo per bank of cylinders. I4 is only one bank of cylinders.

Hence TT scoobies. 2 banks of cylinders.

Hmmm. What do you guys think about that?^^^^^
Would that setup be more beneficial than a single?

IF you could get the setup right, IF you could tune it properly, then you may get some marginal benefit from a setup like that. in reality, choosing a properly sized turbo, with a quality turbo kit and a good tune will give you the most gains. tuning a sequential turbo setup is an absolute nightmare.

Correct me if I'm worng but I thought that on a twin turbo set up, one turbo helps to spool the other turbo like inline six Supra's and Skylines w/ only one manifold and the set ups that are mentioned here in V motors are called bi turbo's like on Audi S4's? The only turbo cars I've touched were either single inline fours or the Audi S4. :what:

normal tt setups have one bank of cylinders fed by one turbo. on the rx-7, there is a sequential turbo setup. im not sure if the stock supra setup is sequential or not. if you look at most modded rx-7's and supras, they are usually single turbo setups, because messing with the sequential system is more work than its worth.

Pontiac 4.9 = 1 turbo

Buick 3.8 = 1turbo

So much for two cylinder banks = 2 turbos

And the preferred set up for the Supra is to ditch the two smallish turbochargers and run one big one.

You can always be like the tractor pull guys and just use a shot of nitrous oxide directly into the turbocharger to spool it up

Of course to meet the space restrictions imposed by the K series exhaust facing the firewall you can always mount them way out back where the muffler goes. But that has it's own problems

never said that two banks = two turbos. I said that's where it's most applicable and practical.

I'm not going to say its a great idea, but I'm not going to say its a horrid idea. A twin turbo set up would a lot for more power potinital and more responce on the low end. Also less turbo lag, and boasting rights till the end of time, but its not practical. More psi, pore problems, and your biggest problem is ganna be space.

a superharger+turbo setup would solve the same issues and would prove just as difficult to tune.

Even if TT made more power then T on a 4 cylinder (which it doesn't) it would be a b***h to work with, and one turbo on a k24/k20 is going to make you s**t yourself anyway
