Does the car have trouble getting to operating temperature? Is there such a thing as a throddle body sensor on Civics? I know when my Celica did that that's exactly what it was.

Hmm that shouldn't be too bad, I've changed them myself before. Is that a sensor that is hard to get at in Civics?

Did you learn how to drive manual on your Civic? Cuz that might explain why. What was happening to the trans that it needed a rebuild?

i honestly dont know if there is...but i just got an engine check lite again....im staring to get pissed off...the guy that i bought the car modified the car, or he thought he modified it....obviously he did sumthing wrong....he took out the cat, my mech says he took out 'the inside of the cat', whatever now my engine keeps giving bad O2 sensors error...and i just realized that in 3rd gear (especially) i put the gas but car does not seem to accelerate as fast as its supposed to be...is that the clutch?? i think im getting rid of the car in summer..

Sounds like the guy gutted the catalitic converter to get a few more horses. Have you tried changing the O2 sensor(s)? about your 3rd gear I'd say if the car revs real high and doesn't go anywhere it is slipping, but if the car accelerates gradualy an so do the revs then the clutch is holding good. Another thing if you are planning to sell the car I don't think it will pass emmissions with a gutted cat.

MIne too. My engine light came on and went to autozone, they said it was the o2 sensor. One day I went on a bumpy road and all of a sudden the engine light dissapeared and 02 sensor problem dissapeared. Other than that, no problems.

on my 6gen the drivers side window fell out of the track all the damn time. and the hx does not like to be driven hard. the clutch goes out very ezy, or maby thats cuz that was my first 5-speed.

on my 5gen becarful of what you replace. one you replace one thing. 5 other things go out. like when i put in my intake mani, the pcv went, icm, dist coil, thermo, and plugs all went bad right after that. they also jump out of idle all the damn time., and the hood latch loves to break. ive seen 7 of them break in just grand island ne.
thats about all i hope that i helped a little bit.

I'm partial to the look of the 5th gen myself. You can get a lot more Ricey crap at O'kragenzone Boys for the 92-95 lot too.

I did have to hacksaw off the back of the speaker mount for the doors to mount my Polks. The clutch seems to be a bit undersized for the car. I'm on my second and after a few assaults it just seems to engage a little softly for my liking. Maybe an engineered thing to promote reliability.

I've had two 6th gens ('97 MR EX Coupe - manual last time) and the first one had the passenger window come off track too. Only it was at two in the morning on a Sunday in the rain.

Other than that, no problems.
