Converting to RHD

Its proly a noob question but im thinking about getting a 99-00 hatchback and a EK9 type r front clip with dash and pannels and i would want to make it RDH. so i was wondering if i could use that dash off the clip and make it RHD and how hard it would be and if there was any cutting of the firewall ect.

question....why do you want a rhd coupe, when they never existed in Japan?

i never knew japan was LHD but i still want to do it bc i want to make it look like a imported CTR as much as I can. plus its f**ken bad ass to roll up to the seen and get out of the left side of your car

japan isnt left hand drive. they are rhd hence your ek9 conversion

wouldn’t it just be easier to just get a clip then I don’t have to pay all that extra money on emissions and having some one buy one for me over there?

I don't know how hard it is, but when people say that it is dumb because you can't go through a drive through, tell them your not a lazy ass and you'll walk in, lol.

a RHD Civic would be bad ass. ive been toying with that notion with my EH2, but dont have the money or time

ive considered it, and yes its cheaper in the long run to convert than to import and pass emissions.the hardest part of the whole thing is swapping firewalls.and dont forget that everything on the firewall is gonna be opposite so your gonna have to either extend things such as wiring harness or make sure your clip comes w/ a rhd harness (if it is a FULL clip w/the motor your good to go).but its alot of work dont get me wrong, or else you'd see them daily.do your research, there is alot of info out there.if i had the time and money to throw around i would definatly do it, but it also depends on how skilled in this situation you are or how much money your willing to pay someone that is.

does any mone know how much it would be to import like a 99 ctr with low miles ori mean kilometers and in great condition?

To the US? not really that much. Getting it registered and road legal? A real b***h. Improper airbags, no side intrusion beams, etc...

but you do live in Illinois. Maybe you could get one imported to Windsor ONT and registered there then drive it home and register it as a Canadian car:what: Just a suggestion. I don't know if it will work. My friend got his GMC Tracker (that's right GMC) registered fairly easily from Toronto.

yes, you will need to find a company that will import on your behalf.
