Coolant loss from upper radiator hose housing?

Noticed some coolant loss and it appears to be from the gasket that connects the upper radiator hose housing to the engine head. I've taken a stock photo and highlighted the gasket in red in the attached photo. To my knowledge this housing has never been removed.
Anyone else had this gasket fail?
Where did you buy the gasket? What is the gasket called?
Thanks for your help 31912

Coolant housing gasket. if you cant find the actual gasket, you can make it by tracing the shape out onto a sheet of gasket material then cutting out with a razor blade.

You can buy gasket sheeting at any local auto parts store.

When i was in the Navy, we had to make our own gaskets, and it's the best trick i've ever learned.

Place the gasket material over either mating surface, then hit it with a ball peen hammer.
work your way around the outside and inside edges, also make sure to hit the mounting holes.

will get a perfect gasket ever single time.
works with both rubber and paper gasket material

Paper leaves a nice indent, but with rubber, it shears off completely when you hit it

I researched and made a gasket from a sheet of the blue Felpro rubber cellulose gasket material and also used Permatex #2 non-hardening sealer on both sides of the gasket. Turns out there was no gasket between the block and housing, had only a sealant from the factory. No leaks so far, looks like the gasket is holding up.
