yes, the 97-01 CRV clusters are plug and play on 96-00 civics, no fancy wiringSo, how hard is it to actually wire it in? Is it all plug and play, or do you have to repin wires? B/c Ive really been wanting a CRV cluster.....it looks amazing!
from what ive found with my EX test subject cluster, if you remove the needles for the fuel and temp gauges they will not function again properly. i dont know how to get the face plate off w/o removing the needles.....looks hella good! im def gettin the ek9 bezel..
i thought about getting a crv cluster before and most likely i woulda been a auto cluster. i thought about looking for/ordering the manual fuel/temp gauge face but i dont know how hard that would be. any ideas on that?
it was $60 for the cluster and $50 for the EK9 bezel BNIBwow, $100 for a gauge cluster is cheap?
i remember the good ol days when i bought my Si cluster for like $75 on here, and sold it for the same price. oh those were the days.
i do like the CRV cluster more tho, it was just too hard to find a manual one.
yes, yes i didman you sure hacked the s**t out of that thing.
the maintenance indicator would eventually turn red and i would have no way to reset it, it would drive me nuts no doubtIt looks good minus that cruise control cut out and you should have just taken off the maintenance button that no one uses anyways.
is it still for sale...dude. ill pick it up.looks good man, u should of let me known i found a manual crv cluster for cheap on a local forum
Haha Thanks for the bump, but actually none of the bezels come "pre-drilled". The three or so that i've had for sale were all done by me, it's just that I took more time / precision than the above example... sorry brobtw: little bump for my man sk8trshorty who can get ctr bezels with predrilled holes for those buttons.
the crv cluster is really cheap on ebay sometmies and u can get the combo for as low as 75 bucks if you search.
i meant pre-drilled for the buyer....i know u did the drilling. but yeah more precision is good...otw they end up like the one up top. matter of fact and pm'ing u to get one.Haha Thanks for the bump, but actually none of the bezels come "pre-drilled". And the reason why I have so many is because there's a local guy that I buy in bulk from.
sounds good. Maybe a should become a site sponsor and sell in mass quantities, along with OEM Honda parts..i meant pre-drilled for the buyer....i know u did the drilling. but yeah more precision is good...otw they end up like the one up top. matter of fact and pm'ing u to get one.
but if you remove the maint. req. then on the clear cover there's an open rectangle for where it should be. I think either way is awkward.did you make the hole with a hammer and ice pick? i find it odd the the maint button would drive you nuts, but the non functioning gear indicator and hacked up hole dont.. but your car.. the combo looks good together... i would honestly redo the bezel.. and you can actually remove the maint required thing.. i removed mine when i installed this bezel garnish a couple years back..
no, i was using a small drill bit and it slipped, perhaps more than once. i didnt think an exacto blade would be able to cut through the plastic but apparently i was wrong. i have spare ek9 bezels and i will do those with the proper techniques to prevent any "hackage"did you make the hole with a hammer and ice pick? i find it odd the the maint button would drive you nuts, but the non functioning gear indicator and hacked up hole dont.. but your car.. the combo looks good together... i would honestly redo the bezel.. and you can actually remove the maint required thing.. i removed mine when i installed this bezel garnish a couple years back..

i dont really notice with the vafc there.. but yeah i guess you are right..but if you remove the maint. req. then on the clear cover there's an open rectangle for where it should be. I think either way is awkward.
just f**king with you.. lolno, i was using a small drill bit and it slipped, perhaps more than once. i didnt think an exacto blade would be able to cut through the plastic but apparently i was wrong. i have spare ek9 bezels and i will do those with the proper techniques to prevent any "hackage"
your vafc is mounted where mine was too, but im using FC commander and it didnt fit in front of the gauge clusteri dont really notice with the vafc there.. but yeah i guess you are right..
first im going to attempt cutting the cruise light hole out with an exacto blade. the problem with using the drill bits is that they are round and the hole is oval. thanks for your 2c tho, always appreciated. ill post up how the other CRV/CTR clusters turn outjust f**king with you.. lol
honestly i would drill a TINY pilot hole center.. then drill the larger hole from the reverse side.. nice sharp drill bit.. on top of like a block of wood so you can go clean through.. that might work well.. thats what i did when i drilled out the plexy i used to back the cf plate that holds my gauges..
ah f**king oval.. didnt even think about that.. that sucks.. good call on the exacto.. maybe drill to start trim with the exacto...your vafc is mounted where mine was too, but im using FC commander and it didnt fit in front of the gauge cluster

i might try that, i need to invest in some new dremel bits thoMaybe drill a small hole and then get a small Dremel bit and go at it with that.
