it only cost me 5 bucks dudes!!!! i appreciate all the feedback!!! as far as fabrics go, ive seen kits that come with tweed, i myself used burlap and i think itll hold up pretty good man, but i am going back to see what other fabrics they have today...so ill report back later. im thinking of going with suede this time...

how hard was it to convert to power windows? and is there a diy to taking off door panels anywhere? I seem to awlays struggle with that

ok ready?

conversion:
-EX floor harness
-EX door harnesses
-power window regulators w/motor
-power door panels w/ switches and whatn0t

im pretty sure thats it^^

now to take off your panels, get a philips screwdriver, go to where the handle is to open to the door and pull it, youll see a screw. next go to the pocket thingy in the middle of the door panel, youll see a screw there too. now pop off the speaker cover. you see some screws, remove the speaker, then there will be 3 holes around the speaker with screws in them. remove those too. next, the panel just pops off! thats what i did to get mine off...hope that helps nig!!!

I drilled out the plastic welds and then they popped off...just be really careful on the drilling as to not cause any damage to the panel.

wow you guys brought this thread back...since posting this thread i actually RE-DID my panels in suede. it looks 100000x better than the pics i posted in the original post

ok ok im posting new pics now...and yes suede. i bought it at a local fabric store for like 15 for a yard...and i have sooo much left over lawlz. and yes that ibanez is my baby. i also have a beautiful gibson sg

how the hell did you cut off the 16 little black plastic things that holds the armrest in? they're like melted in.

i took a razor blade and got right under the rivet and cut it off...the panel popped right off.

yeah doesnt the suede inserts look soooo much better?!?!

when i put the door panel back on...i roll down the window then i take the top part of the panel and stick it in the window opening thingy then i pop all those things back in.
