Custom Box Ideas

ight so im makin a custom box for my friends 97 teggy and need some ideas...perferably already in a teggy but if its bad ass and in a dif car then its cool...btw it has to be made of wood...no fiberglass

what are you going to put in it? how many speakers? do you want an amp rack in there also? can i get a pic of the empty trunk?

no one can suggest if we don't know what subwoofers are going in the box, how much space you want left over, or the overalll design concept that you're going for.

looking for 2 10's or 12's one amp and possibly a cap. pretty much open up for anything...going for something to make it look cleaner...i dont want it to lookl like there was just a box that was set in there like the one posted...thanks

Lanzar and XPlode....and notice how the amp connections are artistically draped over the enclosure in plain sight. Also how virtually the entire trunk is consumed by the enclosure

He did say to post up a pic of a custom box...so I did. That box holds 4 12" subs BTW.

honestly, i didn't even look at the equipment, if i see exposed wires my immediate reaction is EWW. i have one exposed wire in all of my audio setup, and that's the one i plug into my zune.

why don't you hit up sounddomain for pictures? you could even google, but at least sounddomain would give you the ability to search by car with pron.

nice to see some of us like it clean.

this was my older setup. it's clean and simple. dunno exactly what you're looking for though.

flush mounting things will make it look better... you won't have s**t sticking out everywhere. technically you could still use the trunk too, though i never did with equipment in it.

I was thinking of creating a nice simple slanted box at the back of the trunk right behidn the seats. Create an angled top andthrow the sub on the angled part and the amp on top...

I would never recommend putting an amp on a sub box.. thats just asking for trouble
